Update! Aruba, Jamaica ohhhh I wanna take ya!

I've decided that I would take some time out of my wonderful job to write a sort of update post if you will. Last I wrote, we had just gotten engaged! We are still loving every second of it and I am always screaming "we're getting married" and I love seeing Johns face light up every time. We've made a few steps in getting the wedding together. We've chosen a date, location and I have gone to try dresses on. Let me just tell you that I had a rough couple of weeks in the process as some pretty hurtful words were said to me about having a destination wedding, but now i'm just trying to focus on what John and I want, and I feel that this is the one time I can be a little selfish, I mean it's our wedding right? We've really dug around on what resort would best fit the crowd that's going and make the most sense for US. We looked at several resort and locations and are very excited about the place we have chosen!

Some dresses were certainly more flattering than others, my friend Jenni has a ton of other pictures from David Bridal, I just haven't seen those yet! All in all it was a very exciting day, I fell in love with a $3,000.00 dress that I can't have but that's okay I know i'll find the most perfect dress out there! (If you know me, and what I look like when i'm excited you'll know what dress it is I fell in love with) I'm very excited that i'll  be going home to the NEK in May (Happy Birthday Me) to try on dresses with my Sister, Mom and my Gram! HUGE thanks to Colleen, Hally and Jenni for making this such a great day for me, i'm truly blessed to have such great friends!


John and I have decided after many back and forths, to only have a Maid of Honor and Best Man. My Sister and best friend Deveney will by my Maid of Honor and John is very excited to have his cousin, Jeremi who has been more like a brother than a cousin to him for as long as he can remember. I'm still very much so wanting my girlfriends to be part of the day, just don't want to put pressure on anyone about making the trip :)


Luckily, the hardest part about a destination wedding is choosing the destination and we've got that picked, so now I just sit back and let the resort create our wonderful day! Ahhhhh so stress free! Haha, although we will be getting save the dates out so our guests can start saving up some money if they wish to go! Also, we'll be having an At Home Reception in Vermont in July of 2013...we're still working on that date and details :) 


Besides wedding stuff, things have been pretty hectic! I picked up a part time waitressing gig at BJ's Brewhouse and the managers don't seem to understand what 3-4 shifts a week means because instead they've been scheduling me for about 6-7 giving me about a 70 hour work week, weeee! I've had a chat with the manager that does the schedule and hopefully that turns around soon! John has been working his butt off at his job, he's going through some pretty intense manager training and dealing while dealing with some pretty intense company changes! We are making sure to still have time for each other, but just less than before...which is okay...for now. Working this much is all means to an end....which is what John tells me and I remind myself of every day! There may be some other changes for me down the road, but i'm going to let the cards play out before I tell ya!
