I'm reaching out for thoughts, ideas or help on raising money for the friend that I wrote about here. This friend of mine has worked her skinny butt of the past two weeks coming up with a plan to survive, and well it's coming together with just one big glitch....
She has found a treatment center called Castlewood in St. Louis that will probably be able to take her in as soon as next week (THIS IS GREAT)!! One agreement she has to make when going to treatment is that she has her car there with her. As you can imagine this is where the problem lies. Her transmission went in her Honda Accord some time ago, and Honda is willing to pay for a portion of it but that leaves her with needing to find $3,000 in order to get her car working and registered. With her situation the past 1.5 years she has no been able to continue her career as an Occupational Therapist so this leaves her in a rather tough situation. But now, she is given the opportunity to live, the opportunity to get treatment and I promise she NEEDS it!
With that said...does ANYONE have any ideas or thoughts on how we can raise this money quite quickly? I would LOVE to help her however I can, but we'll need more than what I can give...if you have ANY ideas or would like to help out PLEASE let me know!
