A very exciting time!

Sometimes in life you have to take a little more risk than you’d like. Sometimes it’s a matter of rolling the dice and hoping that they land in your favor. Well, that’s what I did with my career this last week. I accepted the position that I spoke about in my previous post and gave notice at my current job. Since I’ll be working from home, John and I hit up Ikea this weekend and started putting together a better home office. I’m already very excited to start this new position and am almost dreading the next two weeks. My boss was about as not nice as I figured she’d be when I gave her my notice, but oh well. This is for the better of me, and no one can make me feel bad about that! (sorry for the bad poor quality cell phone pictures)

Whenever John and I go to Ikea, we John ends up driving home like this. Ha!

A start to our  new home office, so excited to work in this space!

Shelves in the new office, still need some stuff for them :)
I realize that the desk is not the most "fashionable" thing out there, but it's going to be the most functional option for us. I love how much space it has, alot of the other desks we looked at were very narrow leaving for very little room to sprawl out, which I do when i'm working. Plus, I will need to share this desk with John when he has work to do.

Two Amazing people, getting married!
Two people that I adore the most got engaged this weekend! A HUGE congratulations to my best friend Hally and her now fiancee Scott! John and I could not be more excited for them! I've been waiting for Scott to do this for awhile now! Good work Scott!! Hally has a beautiful ring that I feel is a great match to who she is! So not only did they move to Bozeman, but they moved to Bozeman AND got engaged all in eight days time!  John and I are dying to get up there and celebrate with them...so I have a feeling we'll be going on a road trip soon!  Oh, and i'm super excited that Hally and I get to share this great period of life together! It's going to be nice to have someone to talk wedding stuff with, even if they aren't planning on getting married for a couple years!

I also helped my good friend Jenni move into her beautiful new apartment this weekend! She's recently started a new chapter in her life by starting a new job in Denver and getting out of Boulder. I am super excited for her, and hope everything goes wonderfully for her! She even treated me to a pedicure (which was badly needed) for helping her unpack, thanks so much Jenni! While I was helping Jenni move John was home working on crossing some things off of our "home/project to-do list" which i'm very thankful for. He finally got the exercise machine that hasn't been used for two years out of our garage, and now I can park in the garage...imagine that!  John is a little bummed because he gave it to a neighbor for free, then our neighbored turned around and sold it to his neighbor for $100.00! Oh well, it's out of our space!

I hope everyone has a great week! I'm hoping I can last the two weeks I have left with this job, so far my boss has been a little on the unprofessional side. Oh well, kill her with kindness right?
