Colorado Mountain Air

This last weekend was both relaxing and challenging. My good friend Amy and I decided to pull up our boot straps and do the Herman Gulch Lake hike. Well, that sucker was ALL incline the ENTIRE way up. When I say incline, I don't mean the normal hike type of incline--I mean an ass kicking, can't breath, super sweaty, light headed kinda incline. But, we chunked away at it and we got to the top! We were at about 12,000 ft. elevation at the top where we found ourselves surround by a beautiful natural "lake". I'm pretty sure this hike was more difficult than some 14'ers; which that by the way we'll be doing soon :)

The views were amazing! It was so nice to find my center again! Sometimes I just need to get outside and smell the fresh air, it really makes a huge difference in my mood (ask John). Colorado Mountain Air is--INCREDIBLE, even if there isn't much of it when you're up near the 14,000 feet mark. The views of us however where not so amazing...like I said, it nearly kicked our ass.

Colorado is such a beautiful place, and I still have so much to see!

With the rest of the weekend John and I ate some great food, drank some delicious beer and hung out for the most part. I hibernated in our room with the AC on because i'm SO sick of the heat! Working all day in a 85 degree house is NOT fun. But, thanks to Pops that will change soon.

I hope you guys have a wonderful week!

A big hello from Woody and Dakota!
