Ahhh....that serenity that you get after spending much needed time with great friends, that is how I feel right now. For the long weekend we made it extra long by having Tuesday off and headed to Bozeman, MT to see our great friends Hally and Scott. What a great trip it was! The drive really wasn't that bad...10 hours goes pretty fast even if Wyoming is SUPER boring. Well, I think it goes fast because I'm really good at sleeping while John drives. John is a rockstar driver.
We did SO much while were there and saw so much incredible stuff! Scott and Hally have so much fun stuff to do in their backyard of Bozeman so we were sure to do some of that stuff! We went to Norris Hot Springs Saturday night which was really cool. They have live music, a bar and the most perfect temperature water. We stayed there for ohhhh five hours I think? By the time we left, the place was packed and I can see why--it's amazing!
On Sunday, we went for a quick hike that was just outside of Bozeman due to some close wild fires, the views weren't as great as normal but it was still beautiful!

After the hike we grabbed some lunch and hit up down town Bozeman. We stopped in the shops that were open and did a mini pub crawl ending it with dinner at Montana Ale Works. A great day!
Now, on Monday....we went to Yellowstone National Park! If it is not on your bucket list, go add it right now. This place is amazing and we only saw a days worth of things. You could easily take a full week to see all that there is to see! We saw Bison, beautiful views, water falls, thermal features oh and not to forget the Boiling River. The Boiling River is one thing we didn't get pictures of but it was a highlight of Yellowstone I feel. It is a spot in the Gardiner river where natural boiling water meets the icy cold water of the river making it this incredible spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Scott was right when he said to get there early, by the time we left the place was packed! I still can't believe all the incredible stuff we saw!
A big huge thanks to Scott and Hally for their great hospitality! We couldn't have asked for a better getaway. We miss you guys TONS but we are so happy that you have a great life started for you in Bozeman. We'll be back, you can bet on that! It's great friends like you guys that make life so great!
As a side note, I got a job and am starting Monday! Yahoo!
Happy Hump Day Folks!
