I think we all have those days where we forget to be grateful. I think we also have those days where we find ourselves overwhelmingly content in life. Granite just like everyone else I have bad days but this last week I have been so incredibly happy with the life I/we have created for myself.
Every once in a while I like to make a list of all the good things I have in life (my Aunt Celeste taught me in one of our many great conversations). So i'm going to share my list with you :)
1. My health as I know it today, is good.
2. I have a career in which I love and I am so grateful that I finished school and became the professional that I am.
3. The beautiful home that I live in and all the memories that are made in it.
4. I have the most wonderful life in Colorado--I live in an incredible state where the sun shines and opportunity is at every corner. Yet, there is something so calming and peaceful about living here.
5. I have some of the best roots possible--growing up in Vermont and truly learning the values that come with small town living.
6. My huge, massive, impossible to explain family--this is probably the BEST part of my life.
7. My friends, both near and far that love and support me no matter what the occasion. I am so lucky to have good friends all over this country!
8. My very best friend, my soon to be husband, the guy that knows each and every part of me whether it's pretty or not. The person that balances me out, the person that makes me want to be the very best I can. The person I laugh and cry with the most--John Ariel. I will forever be grateful to have met you and to be marrying you. We have a great story, and I look at it as fate.
9. My Mom and all the great things she has taught me about life without even knowing it.
10. Every day I'm here to learn, experience, laugh and cry--that's what life is about.
I know, kind of lame to actually write out the good stuff but it really just makes you think positive instead of the bad stuff that can sometimes cloud our lives. Granite, I could go on forever... but I don't want to bore you completely.
Man oh man so much has been going on but mostly I have been totally spoiled by this guy above and by all the people in my life. I turned 25 last week, and no I don't think i'm old by any stretch of the imagination...I just feel like it was just yesterday that I was turning 18 and my mom threw me a surprise party at the East Side. Where in the world does time go? Ohhhh when I was 18--I was getting ready to move to Fort Collins all by myself and start college all while being in a relationship for what I thought at the time would be the rest of my life. It's incredibly all that one can learn in just a few short years, how values can change and all around how much a person can grow. And now...25 and getting married in a little over 4 weeks!!!!!! The best times of my life started when I met John...and I can't wait to see all the memories we can make together.
WHAT?! Wedding, in over 4 weeks? That's straight up crazy talk....I kid I kid. I can't wait! This last week it turned out that my friend Emma is going to be able to come to Jamaica! That's right, my 3 closest friends from highschool are going to JAMAICA! I cannot wait to spend time with these girls...it's been awhile! I'm equally as excited about everyone else going it was just a nice last minute surprise for Emma to be able to go! John and I about have everything done...just have to do deal with the music situation. If anyone has advice on putting together playlist or if you just want to make one for us...have at it. Our age difference shines a little bit when it comes to taste in music....i'll leave it at that.

Ohhh and I got a new fancy car that I love AND gets awesome gas mileage...bonus and bonus. I'd recommend McDonald Hyundai to anyone in the area that's on the market for a new car...just saying!
Make it a good one people! :)
