Oh Holidays....

I haven't posted in awhile, because I've been trying to figure out what direction I want this blog to go. I can't say I have it figured out quite yet, but it'll all come to light here soon.

Thanksgiving is in a couple of days! Hard to believe.

I found myself having a slight meltdown on the phone with John today. Why? Because it seems no matter how hard we work, how little we spend--we just can't get ahead. Money doesn't make life, and I truly believe that...but right now I'd like a little more than what we have.  Also, i'm frustrated because my motivation level lately is way below sea level, I have a mile long list of things to do at home and I talk a big game of doing things but then I find my chair and my blanket and a book and BAM I get NOTHING done. Luckily John usually accomplishes enough to account for both of us, but still I need to start moving!

I also think I'm a little on the homesick side. The best part of the Holidays is being with my huge mess of a family, and being in Colorado I can't quite have that. Luckily my parents are coming for Christmas and that in itself will make life amazing for the 2 weeks they are here.  But I also have a huge heart for the rest of my family that is in VT, why can't I just have it all--life in Colorado AND my family? Greedy I know, but for right now that's just how I feel.

I am however, very excited that we will be having company for Thanksgiving this year! My Brother and Sister In-law will be coming as well as our very close friends John and Colleen. Last year, it was just John and I which is great and all but it's nice to have family and friends to spend the day with! My brother has brewed up some beer that hopefully works out so we can try out our new kegerator (yes that's right, we now have a kegerator) There will be some good food that's for sure! John likes to do the cooking so i'm simply the helper and quality control, hey i'll take it! I'll try and take some picture of the weekend! (John and I recently discovered that we have failed at taking pictures the last couple months, oops)

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

And sorry for all the complaining, just my thoughts for the day....really life is pretty great, I mean after all I have a boyfriend that loves me "immensely" and wonderful family and friends!
