We're Engaged!!

Well, I can say that 2012 already triumphs 2011 and we're only two days in! During the most incredibly weekend with the most amazing friends and family, I said "yes" to John when he asked me to marry him!

For New Years weekend the family and some close friends of ours had decided to get a hotel up in Estes Park in mountains of Colorado. My parents were still in town, and we were out to have a good time! We were going to go horseback riding, sit in the hot tub and count down to 2012, what more could one ask for! Due to wind our horseback riding trip got moved from Saturday to Sunday, I was a little bummed but knew it wasn't going ruin our weekend! We brought in the new year playing card games, dancing to "Diddy's Jam" spent some time in the hot tub and I have to honestly say it took all I had to stay up until midnight (i'm an old lady and tend to go to bed pretty early). I woke up feeling GREAT on Sunday (due to how hungover I was on Christmas, I chose not to drink much) and was so excited to head to the ranch to get on the horses!

Well, Sunday morning we had a bite of breakfast then headed out for our great horseback ride although it got pretty cold and by the end I couldn't feel my fingers!

By the end I was ready to get off my horse, and get myself warmed up! John and others were getting off their horse with the help of the rangers when I see John coming over, I figured he just wanted a kiss since I was too far to say one word to him during the ride! Next thing I know he's holding blue raspberry ring pop, crying and asking me to marry him!! I'm pretty sure I said something along the lines of "with a ring pop, are you really being serious?" then I realized that I didn't care serious or not I was saying yes! So I said yes to the ring pop for him to then pull out the sparkly ring and put it on my finger. I'm crying, he's crying, my moms in front of my crying and my two great girlfriends that were with us just started screaming as they had NO idea. Now i'm stuck on this horse "Patches" DYING to get off of him and tackle John, and that my friends, is exactly what I did! I was shaking due to coldness and the shock I was in, and suddenly I was on the highest cloud out there and the HAPPIEST girl in the world, I am going to MARRY my very best friend.

We don't have a date for the wedding, and we aren't going to rush into things. I want to enjoy the moment and enjoy the wedding planning process. It will be a destination we know that, but that's about it. Oh wait, we also think it'll be in 2013. The only people that knew of the proposal were John parents and my parents. I never thought John could plan such an incredible surprise. Now we're having fun calling each other "fiance" and reminiscing in the moment. I refuse to be separated from my ring. The diamond store is so busy that they said they'd need my ring for 4 days in order to size it down one size, that was not an option...so we're waiting for when they slow down so it can be a same day thing, and even that I will not enjoy. I can't stop staring at it! It is the most beautiful thing I've ever had. We are beyond excited, and want to thank EVERYONE for the kind words it really means alot. I truly didn't ever think I could be this happy, but am grateful every single day to be right where I am with the most perfect man for me.

I also want to say thank you to Colleen, Bass and Jenni for taking some great pictures! These are only a few of what was taken, i'm just working on getting the rest of them compiled! Thank you to my parents for the blessing, and thank you to Johns parents for letting me have something so special!

I hope everyone has had a great beginning to a new year!
