Well, I have to say it's been a quiet uneventful Friday at work, that is why I find myself blogging. Not only is it uneventful but it's draggggging big time! Of course, i'm extremely excited because tonight is date night at our favorite Mexican restaurant! We all know that means we'll drink just a couple sips too many of tequila and eat 2 too many baskets of chips and salsa, but hey we love date night! There isn't a day that goes by that I don't realize how lucky I am to have found John, he really is a keeper :)
As most of you know, we've been fostering a female brindle for the last couple of weeks. We have decided that we want to go to the puppy route which mean Jessie is looking for her furever home! She is a very sweet girl that could be absolutely perfect with a few obedience classes. If you or anyone you know may be interested in a sweet boxer PLEASE let me know or go here and apply. Our hope is to find her a home before next Friday, we don't want her to have to go to the rescue kennel (they aren't they best living conditions).
This is Jessie :
Isn't she sweet? And I guess I'll share with you the puppy we're getting, we are very excited to get her. This is Cricket, she is currently 9 weeks old and has recently recovered from what you could call bad owners. There is a huge controversy about black boxers and whether or not they exist. For simple purposes we'll call her black but she's actually a "sealed brindle" meaning her stripes just don't show as much but if you look in just the right sun at the right angle you'll most likely see a change in her fur. Oh and we're deciding on a new name for her, Cricket just won't cut it for us...we're picky what can I say!
I know we've become these crazy dog people lately, but we're actually kinda enjoying the process and at the end of the day we are still giving a homeless dog a home! We are actually adopting Cricket from a place in Rapid City, South Dakota. That's right! John and I will be driving up to Rapid City next weekend to get her! We hope to make a stop at Mount Rushmore! Woody is going to stay home and have a sleep over with his Aunt Jenni, thanks Jenni!!!
I have three really close friends in Colorado and all three of them are going through some pretty big changes right now. Whether it's moving to a new state for a new adventure with school, a new job/apartment, or even maybe leaving the country for a little while...they are all great things and i'm so happy for all of them! I am going to particularly miss my very best friend Hally Berg. Hally and I met my freshman year of college when I decided to go to Colorado State University for school. We had some crazy times that year and haven't lost touch since. Now, she's yoga trainer certified and finding her path in life by moving to Bozeman, Montana for graduate school! She is an all around great person and i'm going to miss her SO much. We are also going to miss her long time boyfriend Scott very much as well, this couple are two of the most grounded and supportive people we know!
